The Houston Astros are World Series champions.
With five holdovers from their 2017 World Series title, the Astros accomplished their World Series goals yet again.
One of those holdovers is third baseman Alex Bregman.
A graduate of Louisiana State University, Bregman came up to the big leagues in 2016 and was a key member of the Astros’ run to the title in 2017.
But as Bregman celebrates his second World Series ring, his alma mater made sure to celebrate with him.
All over the state of Louisiana, billboards on the side of highways are celebrating Bregman’s accomplishment, with the LSU logo also featured on the board.
The Twitter page for LSU Baseball tweeted a photo of one of the billboards that are being featured all throughout the state.

Bregman Earns Praise From LSU
If there’s one thing that people at LSU are feeling right now, it’s pride for one of the finest baseball players in school history who has become a star in the Major Leagues.
Bregman is a fan favorite in Houston, but is still very clearly loved in Louisiana as well for what he was able to accomplish at LSU.
All over the state, people are celebrating Bregman and the Astros for winning it all in 2022.
Bregman hit .294 in the postseason with three home runs, 11 RBI, and a .948 OPS.
During the regular season, Bregman went deep 23 times, drove in 93, and hit for a .259 average.
But there’s no doubt that those associated with LSU are proud of one of their finest athletes.
