This was supposed to be the best season yet for Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
For the last few seasons, the guard from Minnesota has been one of the most explosive and exciting young men in the league and has seemingly gotten better and better.
But this season was going to allow him to do even more, partly because the team was set to get so much stronger with the inclusion of Rudy Gobert.

Edwards has been strong so far, with a career-best average of 23.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4 assists.
But he is well aware that he’s struggling in one part of his game: his ability to dunk.
Edwards, with his strong build and speed, has long been one of the better dunkers in the league but that hasn’t been happening in 2022-23.
Edwards touched upon it the other night after his team was taken down by the Phoenix Suns.
“Every time I can get to the rim, I have no chance to dunk,” Edwards said.
He added: “Everybody is in the paint. I’ve got to figure out how to lay the ball up.”
This is surely frustrating to Edwards but it’s a sign that the rest of the league knows just how good he can be.
The Struggles Of Ant-Man
The Timberwolves made a lot of headlines when they traded for Gobert in the summer.
However, they also made a big target and placed it directly on their backs.
The rest of the league was put on notice and is now paying more attention to Minnesota, including Edwards and the way he plays.
In other words, the rest of the NBA has been ready for the Timberwolves and their power.
Of course they are all going to try to limit Edwards’ ability to dunk – they will do whatever it takes to slow down this promising team.
