The Houston Astros rallied behind Framber Valdez and Yordan Alvarez to win Game 6 of the World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday.

That was the victory they need to secure their second World Series in six years: they defeated the tough Phillies four games to two.

It was a sweet revenge for manager Dusty Baker, who lost last year’s Fall Classic against another NL East foe: the Atlanta Braves.

Baker has 2,093 regular-season victories and ranks in the top-15 in history, but this was his first World Series ring after being a manager for decades.

It was baseball’s latest gift for one of the true gentlemen of the sport.

Baker was spotted celebrating on the field with his players and being hugged by coaches.

He was truly having a great time on Saturday, as one would imagine.

Baker Proved Once Again He Is All Class

He proved he is a classy guy with his message to the team and fans via Twitter.

“Beyond proud of these players and this team. Thank you for all the support this season. This is a special city. See you tomorrow,” he tweeted.

The replies section was full of positive responses by fans, from Houston and other teams, congratulating him on his first ring.

Baker didn’t need a ring to prove he is among the greatest men to ever manage a ballclub, but it sure looks nice on his list of achievements.

The Astros have been MLB’s most successful franchise in recent memory, as they have gone to four of the last six World Series.

They have now won two of those four, one thanks to Baker and his coaching staff.
