J.J. Watt announced his retirement from the NFL in 2022 after a 12-year career.

Watt was one of the best defensive players in the league and has now left on his terms.

While many have wondered what Watt will do in retirement, the cast of First Take recently lauded him, congratulating him on a new role.

When congratulated about seemingly taking a co-host role on the Pat McAfee Show, Watt responded with confusion.

He also said, “I’m open to discussions,” but that is not something that has happened, at least to this point.

A.J. Hawk, a former NFL veteran, frequently appears on the show, and Watt has also made a few appearances.

At least for now, Watt hasn’t made plans to be a frequent contributor to the show, and his retirement plans remain a mystery.

Watt has publicly contended that he wants to continue to improve his golf game, something that many other NFL athletes do when they retire.

After being a staple of both the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, Watt will likely be a member of the Hall of Fame in a few years.

He still has two brothers in the league, making the Watts one of the most prolific NFL families in recent memory.

The Watt legacy lives on in the league, while J.J. takes his talents elsewhere.

Is television, or some form of broadcasting in his future?
