The Chicago Bears are one of the most intriguing teams heading into the 2023 season.

They have built a good roster through the draft and free agency, along with adding wide receiver D.J. Moore in a trade.

But their team can only go as far as quarterback Justin Fields takes them.

Last season, Fields looked much improved as a passer and rusher.

According to Josh Schrock of NBC Sports Chicago, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Fields has made “big strides” as a passer.

Eberflus mentioned that footwork is one of the parts of his game Fields has worked on the most.

Sometimes having sloppy footwork can lead to inaccurate passes.

We saw plenty of those from Fields last season.

It takes a while for some players to turn into efficient passers in the NFL.

Not all first-round picks step in and have success.

Fields has gone through plenty of growing pains, but it seems like he is in for a breakout year.

Now that Aaron Rodgers is out of the NFC North, the division seems to be wide open.

It is anyone’s guess who may walk away with the crown.

Like most divisions, it will come down to which team’s quarterback plays the best.

So Fields will have to outperform Kirk Cousins, Jared Goff, and Jordan Love.

Each year there is a team or two that comes out of nowhere to make the playoffs.

Last year it was the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks.

One of those teams may be the Bears next season.
