America sure loves its free tacos.
For a few years now, Taco Bell has given away free tacos as long as certain things or achievements occur in the World Series.
After Philadelphia Phillies‘ slugger Kyle Schwarber stole a base in Game 1 of the World Series last week, Taco Bell awarded free tacos to those who followed a specific process to claim them.
The country was very grateful to Schwarber, who took second base in Game 1 last Friday with the score tied at five and in the seventh inning.
You could almost say that he risked himself getting thrown out for his country.
All kidding aside, it was a cool moment last week, and Twitter exploded in celebration for the free tacos.
With Halloween taking place in between Games 2 and 3 of the Fall Classic, even players took the chance to dress up with clever costumes.
We Have The Winning Costume
In this case, it was one of Schwarber’s teammates that had the winning costume.
“After Kyle Schwarber stole a base to earn America free tacos in Game 1, his teammate Garrett Stubbs dressed up as a taco for Halloween,” The Athletic MLB tweeted.

Not only did Stubbs dress up as a taco, but he also wrote the word “Schwarber” in the back just so there weren’t any doubts.
Stubbs is the Phillies’ backup catcher, and a member of the postseason roster.
He doesn’t really play much because of a guy named JT Realmuto, but he makes sure his presence is felt.
Teammates surely loved Stubbs’ costume, and fans loved it even more.
It reminded them of the free tacos that their hero, Schwarber gifted them.
