The Oklahoma City Thunder aren’t going to the NBA Finals this year – they’ll have a hard time even making the playoffs.
But they still have one of the best and most exciting young stars in the league.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been on absolute fire so far this season.
The guard is averaging 31.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists a game on a wild 51.8% field goal percentage.
This has led to a lot of attention, a Western Conference Player of the Week Award, and adoration from Thunder fans.

On Tuesday night, those fans were letting Gilgeous-Alexander know how they felt about him.
After scoring 34 points and going 12-of-18 from the floor, Gilgeous-Alexander heard the Thunder faithful calling out “MVP” to him again and again.
He was loving every second of it.
Following the game, the player commented on those chants, saying, “It felt cool. It felt like a video game.”
Gilgeous-Alexander should get used to these chants because he will keep hearing them if he continues to play as he has so far this year.
Gilgeous-Alexander Can’t Stop
The Thunder star has been downright unstoppable so far this year.
Partly because of his MVP-like season, the team just secured its fourth-straight win.
A fourth-quarter rally by the Thunder put the team over the Orlando Magic, a team that is also full of young bright, and shining stars.
A few of those stars, such as Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs, and even Bol Bol, tried to slow Gilgeous-Alexander down and block him but they had very little luck.
Gilgeous-Alexander has been the Thunder’s secret weapon for a long time, mostly staying out of many headlines because his team’s win record has been so dismal.
He is breaking through this season and is on his way to being a household name among NBA fans.
